Is there any natural cure for colon cancer?

Sunday, May 20th, 2012

My Mother has has colon cancer for about 3 years now & the chemotherapy was never helping her. About a month ago I found out that the cancer has spread in the lungs and breasts, she also has Internal bleeding. I hear that there are natural cures that the doctors do not speak of, but I really need help because she is dying. My question is, do anyone know of any natural medicines for cancer that could help my Mother?

About the best chance she might have is becoming part of a clinical trial for a new treatment. You should ask her oncologist if there are any in which she might participate. There could be a medicine that could help her … but even if not, she could be helping future generations fight the disease by helping bring tomorrow’s treatments to market.

Is one year too late to cure Colon Cancer?

Sunday, May 20th, 2012

My Grandmother had some symptomes but she did not go to doctor/tell anyone so im really worried about her. Im 14 so i dont really know about this but i will try to explain.
-she sometimes has diarrhea
-her bowel feels sometimes blown
-feeling that your bowel does not empty completely
-feeling tired alot
-stomach ache/cramp
-blood out of anal hole (like 2 times) (not dark blood but just normal/light)

It began in march 2011. And this is not on chronological time so i dont know when it all happened since i did not know about these things. She does not smoke/drink etc, She does not pass out or did not have an instant weightloss.

Im gonna bring her to the doctor this week. But im really curious and worry about her alot. So my question is: Is one year too late to cure colon cancer?

Im sorry for writing so much but i really love her and dont want to lose her.

You’re 14! How are you going to take her to a doctor when you can’t even drive?
How old is this woman? It is the most basic information needed when asking a medical question.
If she has been screened as recommended she doesn’t have to worry about it.

Will there ever be a cure for colon cancer?

Friday, May 18th, 2012

What is the likelihood and why not if it isn’t likely?

Colon cancer is cured on a daily basis. Mostly through surgery, but sometimes additional chemo-/radiotherapy is given. As advancements in understanding of the molecular biological mechanisms are made, and medication targeting those mechanisms are developed, patients with metastatic colon cancer live longer and longer. See for instance figure 2 in this article: http://theoncologist.alphamedpress.org/cgi/content/full/10/4/250

The rightmost bar shows you the median survival length (The time where 50% are still alive) for patients with metastasised colon cancer without chemotherapy. And the bars of that to the left shows you how developments have increased survival for these patients.

And research is ongoing, so there are hopes that prognosis will increase even further.

Is there a way to help cure colon cancer?

my grandpa has colon cancer and i feel bad for him i just want to know if there is some kind of food or drink to prevent it plzz help

I am sure it depends how advanced it is.

In some cases removal of cancerous polyps are the end of it.
In many other cases it is much further along before it is found.

Eating a healthy diet for a lifetime would probably have gone a long way to preventing it. But now who knows.

Do you think they have came a long way with cure for colon cancer?

Sunday, February 19th, 2012

I was just wondering if anyone thinks they will have cures for colon cancer soon, i heard they can now tell by simple bloodtest if you have it or not.

As they learn more an more about the molecular biology of colon cancer they undoubtedly will have more and more effective treatments. But the most important thing will always be to detect it as early as possible, because surgery in that case will be the only treatment needed.
