Jarrow Formulas Ge-132 Germanium is pure organic germanium. Germanium poses significant health benefits for aging and life extension, and for the heart, nerves, muscles, and the immune system. Germanium Sesquioxide is an organic form of germanium known in Science as Ge-132. It is both a natural pain killer that releases endorphins, and it is a powerful enhancer of the whole immune system. It is also shown to have antioxidant effects During the 1980s germanium was listed as a possible anti-cancer drug, and sold as either germanium sesquioxide (Ge-132) or spirogermanium. However, a decade of human clinical trials has failed to conclusively show such a benefit (1A). There was a recently published report of a complete remission following germanium sesquioxide use by a patient with a rare type of lung cancer. This tumor, a pulmonary spindle cell carcinoma, is usually associated with a poor prognosis and this patient had not responded to conventional chemotherapy (2A). The report was accompanied by an editorial calling for rigorous research on alternative therapies (3B). This case study does not provide adequate evidence for the widespread use of Ge-132 in cancer therapy.
